Jukari Fit To Fly: A new gym experience from REEBOK and … CIRQUE DU SOLEIL?

Published by dreamscaper under Uncategorized Edit This

It was something of a surprise when I read through my email the other day and came across this one from Reebok promoting their new acrobatic fitness program, Jukari Fit To Fly .  The kicker for me was that it was a collaborative effort between Reebok and the Cirque Du Soleil.  A quick perusal of the promotional Reebok Jukari site as well as a subsequent search on Google told me that there is really something to this on a global scale, complete with plans to launch the trapeze-based fitness program in a dozen cities worldwide this Spring (the only North American cities announced so far are New York and Montreal).  As well, Reebok has planned to release an accompanying  line of fitness clothing with the program.  I must have had my head in the media sand not to have heard anything about this before - i mean they even have a global Facebook group set up already for goodness sake!

You just know that we will be hearing more about this.  I just wonder if the current state of the world economy will hamper the launch of this endeavour, or if it has already pushed things back at all?

Btw, the name Jukari supposedly comes from a world dialect and means “to play”. Huh, you learn something (or two or three) new everyday…
